AROMA ("the app") is an offline Italian wine guide. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it's used, and what it doesn't do.
AROMA does not require you to create an account or sign in. There is no username, password, email address, or personal profile associated with using the app.
The wine catalog, denomination rankings, and your browsing activity within the app are stored locally on your device (via a local database). This data is not transmitted to us and is not linked to you personally.
AROMA offers an optional Premium subscription (dish-pairing search, AI-assisted suggestions, and the complete pairing guide), purchased and managed entirely through Google Play Billing. We never see or store your payment details — Google processes all payment information directly.
To verify an active subscription, the app sends your Google Play purchase token to our backend service, which confirms the subscription status with Google and returns a short-lived access token to the app. This purchase token is used only for verification and is not linked to any other personal data we hold, because we hold none.
When you use the AI-assisted pairing search, the free-text dish or food description you type is sent to our backend service, which forwards it to a third-party AI provider to interpret the query into search terms. This text is used only to process that single search request and is not stored by us or linked to your identity.
Since AROMA does not collect personal data or maintain user accounts, there is no personal data profile to request or delete. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data from your device.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this same address with a revised "Last updated" date.
